Veevus GSP Thread 30D is an ultra-fine Gel Spun Polyethylene (GSP) fly tying thread that combines an extremely small diameter with outstanding tensile strength. At just 30 Denier, it is one of the thinnest and strongest fly tying threads available, making it the perfect choice for tying the smallest fly patterns where minimal bulk and maximum strength are essential. Veevus was the first manufacturer to introduce a 30D GSP thread to the fly tying market.

What is Veevus GSP Thread 30D?

GSP (Gel Spun Polyethylene) is one of the strongest synthetic fibres used in fly tying. Thanks to the light twist characteristic of Veevus threads, it resists untwisting during tying, lays flat on the hook shank and provides exceptional control when working with the smallest patterns. Despite its incredibly fine diameter, it offers tensile strength that far exceeds conventional polyester or nylon threads of similar thickness. Each spool contains 75 metres of thread, providing approximately 67% more material than many comparable fly tying threads.
