UTC Ultra Thread 140 Denier is a lightly waxed thread that can be flattened completely while tying. This produces smooth, even wraps and strong fly bodies without creating unnecessary bulk.
Like all Ultra Thread products, it is not bonded and can easily be split for split-thread dubbing. Its greater breaking strength makes it an excellent choice for medium to large flies and for securing tougher materials such as deer hair, feathers, and synthetic fibres.
