What are Wapsi Pyrex Fly Rattles?

Wapsi Pyrex Fly Rattles are manufactured from laboratory-grade Pyrex borosilicate glass, making them far more durable than standard glass rattles. They are designed to withstand repeated casting, aggressive retrieves and powerful strikes from large predatory fish without breaking.

They can be inserted inside Mylar Tube or encapsulated in epoxy or UV resin to create durable, noise-producing predator flies. The subtle clicking sound generated during the retrieve often triggers additional strikes by stimulating a fish's lateral line and predatory instincts.

FLYFISHING.BG RECOMMENDS

For maximum effectiveness, place the rattle inside a Mylar Tube or secure it with UV or epoxy resin directly behind the streamer head. Choose S for compact flies, M for versatile all-round patterns, and L for large pike and saltwater flies where a stronger acoustic signal can make the difference.
