EASY WRAP BODY QUILLS are strips of thin self-adhesive flexible and slightly stretchable foil designed for making artificial fly bodies. The strips have a very subtle transition from dark to light along the entire length, in different colors imitating the natural color of insects. With their help, beautiful and realistic bodies of different sizes can be created, imitations of mayflies, caddisflies, stoneflies in their different life stages / nymphs, emergers and mature insects/. Very suitable for making perdigons.
Set in 4 sizes - Black color on a Transparent base
The length of each strip is 10 cm.
The set includes 10 strips of each size and is enough for 200 fly bodies.
Size S - 1.5 mm - enough for 60 fly bodies
Size M - 1.8 mm - enough for 60 fly bodies
Size L - 2.0 mm - enough for 40 fly bodies
Size XL - 2.5 mm - enough for 40 fly bodies
Color - Black
They are suitable for working with hooks of sizes from number 6 to number 16, but it does not prevent them to be used for smaller or larger sizes according to the skills of the tyer.
It is recommended to cover them with a water-based varnish or preferably with UV resin after installation, for mechanical protection of the foil and colors and as a final touch to achieve the beautiful and realistic look of the body.
Since the ribbons are made of thin and stretchy material, it is good not to pull too hard when wrapping around the hook to keep the overlap and the width of the ribbon a proper look.
