Hends Dry BL354 – Strong Barbless Hook for Dry Flies, Emergers and Large Fish
The Hends Dry BL354 is a medium-strong barbless fly tying hook designed primarily for dry flies targeting larger fish, while also performing exceptionally well for emergers, wet flies and other versatile fly patterns. Its classic proportions and reinforced construction provide the perfect balance between strength, durability and reliable hooking performance.
Manufactured from premium high-carbon steel, the Hends BL354 features a Down Eye, 1X Strong Wire construction, Standard Shank, Round Bend, Black Nickel finish and a chemically sharpened barbless point with a slightly in-curved profile. The forged construction provides additional strength, while the corrosion-resistant black nickel finish ensures long-lasting performance even after extensive use.
The BL354 shares the same proven shape as the popular BL404 and BL454, but features a stronger wire construction for targeting larger, more powerful fish. Its classic round bend, forged body and long, slightly in-curved chemically sharpened point provide fast penetration, excellent hook-holding ability and the confidence to fish heavier tippets when conditions demand maximum strength.
