Beaver undercoat is naturally oily and very good for dubbing dry flies and especially small patterns. It is no coincidence that it is also sometimes compared to CDC feathers. It twists very well and the fly tapers are very easy to get. Long bristles can be used for small streamers or for tails or antennae on dry flies or shrimp.
