Wapsi Turkey Biots are carefully selected biots taken from the leading edge of primary turkey wing feathers. Longer, wider and stronger than goose biots, they are the preferred material for creating beautifully segmented bodies on larger nymphs, dry flies and stonefly patterns.
Thanks to their natural translucency and distinctive shape, turkey biots produce clean, realistic segmentation with only a few wraps. Depending on the tying technique, they can create either a smooth tapered body or a more pronounced ribbed effect, making them exceptionally versatile for a wide range of fly patterns.
In addition to body construction, Wapsi Turkey Biots are widely used for tails, legs, antennae and other fine details on nymphs, dry flies and stonefly imitations.
