What is the Whiting Pro Grade Cape?
Whiting Pro Grade Cape is a genetically bred rooster neck specifically developed for premium dry fly tying. The feathers feature thin, flexible quills, extremely dense barbs and very little webbing, producing beautifully balanced hackles with outstanding flotation.
Unlike saddles, a cape provides a much broader hook-size range. A single cape typically covers hooks from approximately #10 down to #24 and even smaller, making it one of the most versatile dry fly hackles available.
