The Whiting Coq de Leon Cape is a full rooster cape produced from genetically selected Coq de Leon birds originally imported from Spain. Since the mid-1990s, Whiting Farms has been the only commercial breeder outside Spain maintaining this authentic bloodline.
The best-known characteristic of Coq de Leon feathers is their hard, almost glass-like fibres with distinctive natural mottling.
