Guideline FAVO Spare Spool
The Guideline FAVO Spare Spool is an original replacement spool designed specifically for the Guideline FAVO fly reel series. It allows anglers to switch quickly between different fly lines without carrying multiple reels. Whether changing from a floating to a sinking line, swapping to an intermediate setup or preparing different shooting head systems, the FAVO Spare Spool provides maximum flexibility while saving valuable time on the water.
Manufactured using the same production process as the original spool, it features precision pressure-cast aluminium construction with CNC-machined critical surfaces for an accurate fit and smooth operation. The Large Arbor design ensures fast line retrieval, reduces line memory and provides generous backing capacity, while maintaining the same balance, performance and reliability as the original reel.

One Reel – Multiple Fly Line Setups
A spare spool is one of the most practical upgrades for any fly reel. In just a few seconds you can switch from a floating line to an intermediate or sinking line, or change between different shooting head systems without removing backing or carrying multiple reels. This provides tremendous flexibility when fishing changing water conditions or targeting different species throughout the same day.
Because the spare spool is manufactured to the same specifications as the original, it delivers the same precise fit, smooth rotation and dependable performance. Keeping multiple spools pre-loaded with different fly lines allows you to adapt instantly to changing fishing situations while maintaining perfect reel balance and reliability.
FlyFishing.bg Recommendation
We almost always recommend purchasing at least one spare spool together with your fly reel. It is the most economical way to fish multiple fly line setups using a single reel. For trout fishing, a floating line combined with an intermediate or sinking line covers almost every situation. For sea trout, predator fishing and salmon, having a second spool ready can make changing tactics almost instantaneous and significantly improve your efficiency on the water.
