Maxima Treazure Tippet Clear – Monofilament Line for Tippets
Maxima Treazure Tippet Clear is a high-quality clear monofilament line designed specifically for use as tippet material and for building and adapting the finer sections of fly fishing leaders. Treazure combines very high abrasion resistance, excellent knot strength and the characteristic suppleness associated with Maxima.
The clear finish provides low visibility in the water, while the specially developed construction offers excellent durability when the tippet comes into contact with rocks, vegetation and other underwater obstacles. This makes Treazure a versatile choice for a wide range of fly fishing situations.
Why Choose Maxima Treazure?
- Very high abrasion resistance – well suited to fishing around rocks, branches and other underwater structure.
- Excellent knot strength – provides reliable connections between tippet, leader and fly.
- Clear finish – low visibility in the water, making it a suitable choice when fishing for cautious fish.
- Good suppleness – despite its high strength and abrasion resistance, the material remains flexible and easy to work with.
- High durability – the ADP technology is designed to improve resistance to wear and extend the working life of the material.
- 25 m spool – a practical length to carry and use while fishing.
Next-Generation Maxima Technology
Treazure is manufactured using Maxima's Micro-Extrusion-Technology and a specially developed combination of high-quality copolyamides. The construction also incorporates ADP – Additive Depot Protection, designed to improve abrasion resistance and overall durability.
The result is a material that combines high mechanical strength with the suppleness required for convenient knot tying and natural fly presentation.
Maxima Treazure for Fly Fishing
Maxima Treazure Tippet Clear is suitable as a dedicated tippet material, as well as for replacing or extending the finer section of a fly fishing leader. The clear monofilament is a good choice when low material visibility is important, while its high abrasion resistance provides additional security when fishing in demanding conditions.
The range from 0.16 to 0.40 mm covers a useful selection of diameters, from finer trout applications to stronger leader configurations where higher breaking strength and abrasion resistance are required.
