How to use the Cortland fly line cleaner:
1. Apply a few drops of the lubricant to a dry pad.
2. Strip the fly line off the reel and onto a clean surface.
3. Pinch the pad around the line and retrieve the fly line back onto the reel.
How often should I clean my fly lines?
Treated fy line will cast further and last longer and at a minimum you should consider cleaning your fly line every year for the best results. If you find your fly line ever looks dirty or feels gritty then you might want to consider cleaning your line more often.
