Foam Beetle is a dry fly designed to imitate a beetle – an important food source for fish during the warmer months. Its closed-cell foam body provides excellent flotation, while the compact profile resembles a natural terrestrial insect that has fallen onto the water from vegetation along the bank.
The pattern is particularly effective when fishing close to grassy and vegetated banks, where terrestrial insects regularly find their way into the water. Its simple and highly visible design makes it a good choice both for fishing on its own and whenever an easy-to-track surface pattern is needed.
