Foam Beetle is a highly effective attractor dry fly that imitates beetles and other small terrestrial insects that fall onto the water surface. Its foam body provides excellent buoyancy and stability, making it very effective even in faster currents and broken water. The compact profile and natural water contact often trigger instant strikes.
This is a very productive pattern during the warmer months when beetles are frequently blown or dropped into the river from surrounding vegetation.
Best for: Trout, Chub, Perch
Ideal conditions: Summer and early autumn, terrestrial insect activity, slow to moderate currents.
