Save the dates – October 10–11, 2026!
This autumn, Bulgaria’s fly fishing community will come together once again for the 18th National Fly Fishing Fair, organized by the Federation of Fly Fishers in Bulgaria.
This year’s event will be a little different. For the first time in 15 years, following the fairs held in Oreshak in 2010 and 2011, the National Fly Fishing Fair will once again take place indoors. The venue will be Hall VIA in Sofia.
This allows us to organize the event after the end of the main trout fishing season, when most of us have already completed much of our fishing plans for the year. At the same time, holding the fair in Sofia makes it considerably more accessible to fly fishers from all over Bulgaria. Hall VIA is also a familiar place to the Bulgarian fly fishing community, having hosted several fly fishing events and gatherings over the years.
The history of the National Fly Fishing Fair is already a long one. From the first gathering in Ledenik in 2008 to the most recent fairs in Dolna Banya and Klisura, these events have become one of the most important occasions for Bulgaria’s fly fishing community – a place where we meet, talk about fishing, tie flies, share knowledge and, of course, simply enjoy spending time together.

For those travelling to Sofia, we have also arranged accommodation, with an entire hotel reserved for participants in the fair. Very soon, we will publish more information about prices, conditions and booking contacts.
As in previous years, there will be an entrance fee of €5, payable only by fly fishers. Partners and children will, of course, enter free of charge.
And this is only the beginning.
All details about the programme, participants, exhibitors, presentations, fly tying and the rest of the event will be announced gradually over the coming weeks.
