Petitjean Dryer Amadou
The Petitjean Dryer Amadou is a premium fly dryer made from natural Amadou—a traditional material obtained from the tinder fungus (Fomes fomentarius). Renowned for its exceptional absorbency, Amadou quickly removes moisture from wet dry flies, restoring their buoyancy within seconds without damaging delicate CDC feathers, hackles, or other natural materials.
After landing a fish, simply place the wet fly between the two Amadou pads and apply gentle pressure. Moisture is absorbed almost instantly, and after applying your preferred floatant, the fly is ready to fish again.
Natural Amadou with Outstanding Absorbency
For generations, fly anglers have relied on natural Amadou for its remarkable ability to remove water far more effectively than cloth or synthetic materials. It dries flies quickly while preserving the natural shape, texture, and performance of CDC feathers and other delicate tying materials.
Protective Leather Case
The natural Amadou is housed in a high-quality leather case that protects the material while allowing air to circulate freely. This enables the Amadou to dry naturally between fishing sessions, ensuring long-lasting performance and consistent absorbency. Its generous size also makes it suitable for drying larger dry flies with ease.
