Unlike conventional fly boxes, this model uses 8 mm thick Micro Slit Foam (5 mm on the Small version), which supports each fly by slightly lifting the hook eye. This clever design helps prevent weed guard deformation while maintaining the natural profile of your flies during long-term storage. Bulky crab flies can also be spaced beautifully by simply skipping individual slits when needed.
