Cork is obtained from the bark of the Cork oak tree (Latin name: Quercus Suber L.) and is a 100% ecological natural material. During the extraction of cork, the tree is not destroyed, and in nine years the removed bark is completely restored and removed again. This cycle is repeated about 18 times during the active life of the Cork Oak. The natural texture of cork combines softness, flexibility and warmth when touching its surface.
