Fly Tying Tails
The tail is a small but essential element that defines both the balance of the fly and how it is perceived underwater.
It creates a sense of motion and trailing presence that mimics natural insects or small baitfish. In many patterns, the tail is the first part a fish focuses on during an attack.
Tails are used in nymphs, dry flies, streamers, and attractor patterns where silhouette and balance are critical.
