Guideline LPX Nymph Fly Rod

Guideline LPX Nymph is a premium fly rod series purpose-built for modern Euro nymphing. Featuring Guideline's advanced C.A.P M4.0™ (Complex Axial Pattern) blank technology, these rods combine exceptional sensitivity, remarkably low weight and outstanding casting stability. The result is precise line control, natural drag-free drifts and the ability to detect even the most delicate takes.

The LPX Nymph series has been developed for anglers who spend long days fishing with a high rod position. Thanks to its extremely low overall weight, excellent balance and minimal swing weight, the rod remains comfortable throughout extended sessions without sacrificing the power needed to control larger fish. The sensitive tip transitions progressively into a stronger mid and butt section, providing excellent tippet protection while maintaining impressive fish-fighting capability.

Engineered for Maximum Sensitivity

Guideline LPX Nymph has been purpose-built for modern Euro nymphing, where maintaining direct contact with the flies and detecting the slightest take are essential. Thanks to the advanced C.A.P M4.0™ (Complex Axial Pattern) blank technology, the rod delivers exceptionally fast recovery, outstanding stability and precise casting with virtually no unwanted blank vibration.

The highly sensitive tip blends progressively into a stronger mid and butt section, providing excellent tippet protection while maintaining the power needed to control larger fish. Combined with its remarkably low overall weight and minimal swing weight, the LPX Nymph remains comfortable throughout long sessions with the rod held high above the water, reducing fatigue while improving drift control.

Construction & Features

Every detail of the LPX Nymph has been designed to maximise line control and fishing efficiency. The first stripping guide is positioned close to the handle to minimise line sag and maintain direct contact with the flies. A dedicated Snake guide placed immediately below the tip-top helps prevent line wrapping around the rod tip, while the spiral blank finish reduces line sticking during wet conditions.

The down-locking reel seat improves overall balance and helps reduce wrist fatigue during long nymphing sessions. A slim Super Grade Cork handle maximises comfort and sensitivity, while premium titanium stripping guides and PVD-coated Single Leg guides ensure smooth line flow and long-lasting durability. Every rod is supplied with a recycled polyester rod bag and a durable recyclable polypropylene rod tube, reflecting Guideline's GL ECO-Tech™ commitment to more sustainable fly fishing equipment.

FlyFishing.bg FlyFishing.bg Recommendation

If you're looking for one rod to cover the widest range of Euro nymphing situations, the LPX Nymph 10'2" #3 is our top recommendation. It offers the ideal balance of sensitivity, precision and versatility for both small and medium-sized rivers. Anglers who regularly fish larger rivers will appreciate the extra reach and superior line control of the 10'8" #3, while the 10'2" #4 is an excellent choice for heavier nymphs, stronger currents and larger fish. For the most technical presentations using tiny nymphs and ultra-fine tippets, the 10'8" #2 delivers exceptional finesse, responsiveness and strike detection.
