Guideline LPX Tactical is a premium fly rod series developed for modern trout fishing. Built around Guideline's advanced C.A.P M4.0™ (Complex Axial Pattern) blank technology and a unique Fast ¾ Deep action, the series delivers progressive loading, exceptional stability and precise control at both short and long casting distances. LPX Tactical is equally at home fishing dry flies, nymphs, wet flies and light streamers, offering outstanding versatility without sacrificing sensitivity or power.
At short distances, the upper and middle sections of the blank provide delicate presentations and excellent feel. As casting distance increases, the lower section progressively engages, adding power, stability and higher line speed. This smooth transition gives the rod an exceptionally broad operating range, making it equally effective for technical close-range fishing and long, demanding casts across large rivers or in windy conditions.

Guideline LPX Tactical features a unique Fast ¾ Deep action, engineered to progressively unlock more power as the rod is loaded. At shorter casting distances, the tip and mid-section work together to provide delicate presentations, exceptional feel and precise line control. As more load is applied during longer casts, the lower section of the blank comes into play, generating higher line speed, increased stability and outstanding casting efficiency. This progressive behaviour makes the LPX Tactical equally comfortable for technical close-range fishing and demanding long-distance presentations.
The blank combines exceptionally low overall weight with minimal swing weight, reducing fatigue during long days on the water. Premium Titanium Stripping Guides with Zirconia inserts, lead-free PVD-coated Single Leg guides and a high-quality Super Grade Cork handle ensure outstanding performance and durability throughout the life of the rod.
The hard-anodized aluminium reel seat with a beautiful wood insert completes the premium appearance while providing a secure reel fit in all fishing conditions. Like the entire LPX family, the Tactical series is produced according to Guideline's GL ECO-Tech™ philosophy, featuring an unsanded blank finish, environmentally improved manufacturing processes, a recycled polyester rod bag and a durable recyclable polypropylene rod tube.
