The JMC Soon Brass is a special edition of the popular Soon series, distinguished by its elegant Brass anodized finish that gives this thoroughly modern fly reel a timeless, classic appearance. Combining a hybrid aluminium construction, lightweight design, a powerful sealed drag system and a Large Arbor spool, the Soon Brass delivers premium-level performance typically found in significantly more expensive reels. It is equally suited to trout and grayling fishing, stillwater angling, streamer fishing and even larger freshwater or light saltwater species.
Built using a hybrid manufacturing process that combines high-pressure die-cast aluminium with precision CNC-machined components, the reel offers an excellent balance of strength, weight and value. Its Large Arbor spool features an ultra-ventilated design that provides rapid line retrieval, minimizes fly line memory and allows both fly line and backing to dry quickly after use. A sealed micrometric disc drag with stainless steel and carbon fibre discs delivers exceptionally smooth and reliable performance in all conditions, while the retrieve direction can easily be converted between left- and right-hand operation. Every reel is supplied with a high-quality neoprene protective case.

From a technical standpoint, the JMC Soon Brass is identical to the Soon Anthracite version, but we believe the elegant brass finish gives it a far more distinctive and timeless character. If you appreciate equipment that performs as well as it looks, this is the version we would choose. The Size 35 is a superb all-round trout reel, the 68 is perfect for stillwaters and streamer fishing, while the 810 offers the capacity and stopping power required for larger freshwater predators and light saltwater fly fishing.
