The AHREX Flexistripper is an innovative alternative to the traditional stripping basket. Originally developed by renowned Danish split-cane rod builder Bjarne Fries and later adopted by Ahrex, it replaces rigid basket walls with a flat platform and long flexible pegs that securely retain fly line while allowing it to shoot freely during the cast.
Its open, side-free design allows line to fall naturally without piling up against rigid walls, reducing tangles and improving line control. The high-quality neoprene belt can easily be moved higher on the body when wading deeper, ensuring comfort and consistent performance throughout the day.
