The cutter rings are part of the STROFT leader spool system, but can also be used as an individual part on a STROFT leader spool. In both cases, the cutter rings fulfill numerous tasks:
A clamping device prevents the end of the line from accidentally slipping back into the interior of the spool. This means that the end of the line is always well secured and is always ready to hand.
A leaf spring made of corrosion-free spring steel ensures slowed down yet safe and smooth rotation of the spool.
The line passage hole is equipped with a metal sleeve made of hard brass and thus ensures smooth and jerk-free line removal.
The cutter rings protrude above the spools on both sides and, together with the spool holder, form a completely self-contained housing. This protects the cord from any light and UV radiation. In addition, the closed housing enables very comfortable handling. The housing can be grasped and held at any point in order to pull line from the freely rotating spools inside.
The cord cutting device is equipped with a specially made blade made of high-alloy Solingen stainless steel with a gold-colored titanium nitride coating. The blade has a very long service life. The blade can be used to easily cut lines with a smooth cut - even thick and tough lines and even braided lines.
The cutter rings can be labeled around the circumference on the included self-adhesive cord labels. Labeling is particularly helpful if the spools are used as a set. The information such as line type, diameter, etc. can then be clearly seen and read around the circumference without the spools having to be removed from the spool holder first. Different colored labels provided can be used for different types of cord.
The cutter rings can be easily pushed onto the spools using a “snap-in” and can also be removed again. This means that the cutter rings can always be reused. If a spool is empty, the cutter ring is simply removed and placed on the new, full spool. In the catalog you will find further details under STROFT leader spool system.
