These Roy Christie inspired patches are handmade in Bulgaria from high quality Italian genuine Crazy Horse leather with genuine Harris Tweed inserts. The degreasing paste is hand-mixed in our country with the main ingredients huma and glycerin. The cardboard packaging is 100% recyclable and the packaging shavings are specially made for this product from maple wood.
How to use - Clip this patch on your fishing vest, bag, backpack, necklace or whatever you use when wading in the river. Before fishing, take a little of the degreasing paste from the box and spread it on the inside of the fabric on both sides of the patch. After tying the fly, thread the tippet and some (or all) of the leader through both sides of the patch. This degreases your line (you have naturally lubricated your line when your hands touch the tippet when tying the fly) and helps the tippet overcome the surface tension of the water very quickly. Thus, it very quickly enters the surface layer and becomes invisible to fish. Whether you are fishing with a dry fly, a wet fly or a nymph - this patch is very necessary and in many cases gives a huge advantage especially with finicky fish.
Huge thanks to my friends Kancho Borisov, Georgi Kotsakov, Kostadin Georgiev, Nayden Naydenov – Naci and Alan Tyufekchi, without whom this product would not exist.
Proceeds from this product will be used for a youth fly fishing school!
