Upavon HD Premium Microcell Foam
Upavon HD Premium is a high-quality HD Plastazote microcell foam specially developed for fly tying. Thanks to its higher density, excellent buoyancy and outstanding durability, it is an ideal material for both classic floating flies and modern attractor patterns. Compared to standard fly tying foam, HD Premium offers a firmer structure, allowing cleaner cuts, sharper details and longer-lasting flies.
The foam is easy to work with using scissors, a craft knife or a scalpel, making it perfect for creating bodies, wings, backs, strike indicators and other floating components. It does not absorb water, resists deformation and maintains its buoyancy even after extended fishing sessions.
Upavon HD Premium is an excellent choice for tying terrestrial patterns such as beetles, grasshoppers, ants and wasps, as well as popular flies including Chernobyl Ant, Fat Albert, poppers, mice, strike indicators and many other floating fly patterns.

FLYFISHING.BG RECOMMENDSThe increased thickness of the HD Premium block allows you to cut components of virtually any size and shape for custom fly designs. For the cleanest edges, always use a razor-sharp craft knife or scalpel. If needed, gently warming the foam before final shaping will make it even easier to work with. One block provides enough material to tie hundreds of floating flies. |
