What is Hends Body Quill Multicolor?
Hends Body Quill Multicolor is an advanced version of the popular Body Quill material. The gradual colour transition allows fly tyers to create perfectly tapered, naturally shaded fly bodies using only a single strand, eliminating the need to change materials while tying.
It is widely used for tying realistic nymphs, dry flies and emergers because it closely imitates the natural colour transitions found on aquatic insects. For the best results, Hends recommends building the underbody with white thread, cutting the material at its lightest section, folding it in half and tying it in by the light ends before wrapping the body.

FLYFISHING.BG RECOMMENDSHends Body Quill Multicolor delivers the most natural colour transition when wrapped over a white or very light thread underbody. Start wrapping from the lighter end of the material and finish with a thin coat of UV resin or varnish to enhance the transparency, segmentation and durability of the finished fly. |
