What is Rabbit Zonker Texas Cut?
Texas Cut is a specialised version of the classic Rabbit Zonker Strip. Instead of the traditional narrow strips used for trout streamers, Texas Cut is pre-cut to approximately 3/8" (9–10 mm), allowing fly tyers to build much larger baitfish imitations with a single strip.
Like all rabbit zonkers, the strips are cut with the direction of the fur, allowing the fibres to flow naturally along the fly. This creates the characteristic breathing action that has made rabbit strips one of the most effective natural streamer materials ever developed.
