Wapsi Superfine Dry Fly Dubbing is one of the world's best-known synthetic dubbing materials for dry fly tying. Specifically developed for creating exceptionally slim and realistic bodies, it allows fly tyers to produce perfectly proportioned dry flies—even on the smallest hook sizes.
Made from ultra-fine 1.2 denier synthetic fibres, the material is permanently water-repellent, helping dry flies stay afloat significantly longer than dubbings that absorb moisture. The fine fibres twist smoothly onto the tying thread, producing clean, even bodies with minimal bulk.
Its extensive colour range makes it easy to match mayflies, caddisflies and other aquatic insects with outstanding accuracy. Although designed primarily for dry flies, Wapsi Superfine also performs exceptionally well on tiny emergers and delicate nymphs whenever an ultra-slim body is required.
