Wapsi SLF Saltwater Dubbing is a specialised version of Wapsi's renowned Synthetic Living Fiber, developed for fly patterns that must withstand repeated attacks from powerful game fish. The blend combines longer, stronger and translucent synthetic fibres to create lifelike movement, natural depth and exceptional durability in demanding fishing conditions.
Unlike standard SLF dubbings, the Saltwater Series is designed to maintain its structure and appearance even after repeated strikes. Its durable fibres produce realistic baitfish, shrimp and crab imitations while resisting wear from aggressive predators and abrasive saltwater environments.
The material twists easily onto the tying thread and can be brushed with Velcro or a dubbing brush to release additional fibres, creating a fuller profile with outstanding movement. Although designed for saltwater flies, it is equally effective for large freshwater streamers targeting pike, zander, perch, bass and other predatory fish.
