JMC Seal Underfur (Seal Sub)
JMC Seal Underfur (Seal Sub) is a premium fly-tying dubbing developed to reproduce the unique characteristics of traditional seal fur. Its fine fibres create natural translucency, a subtle sheen and exceptional movement underwater—qualities that have made seal-style dubbing a favourite for classic wet flies, nymphs and emergers for generations.
Unlike coarser natural dubbings, Seal Sub produces semi-translucent bodies that naturally capture and diffuse light. This subtle interaction with light gives fly patterns added depth and realism without relying on excessive synthetic flash or overly bright colours.
