Guideline Elevation Brook & TLT Fly Rod
Guideline Elevation Brook & TLT is a specialised series of short fly rods designed for small streams, mountain creeks and other confined waters where precision is far more important than casting distance. Featuring a smooth Mid Flex action and fast blank recovery, these rods deliver exceptional accuracy, delicate presentations and outstanding control at short to medium range.
The series retains all the environmentally conscious features of the Elevation family, including a bio-based epoxy resin, components with reduced environmental impact and accessories made from recycled materials. Designed for Small Streams & Precision Presentations
Guideline Elevation Brook & TLT has been developed for situations where accuracy and presentation are far more important than maximum casting distance. Its smooth Mid Flex action allows the blank to load effortlessly with very little fly line outside the rod tip, making roll casts, bow-and-arrow casts and short, accurate presentations under overhanging branches or through tight casting windows easy and intuitive. The progressive bend cushions sudden runs from wild trout while protecting fine tippets, yet still provides enough reserve power whenever a longer cast is needed.
The dedicated 7'6" #3/4/5 TLT model has been specifically designed around the Italian TLT (Tecnica Lancio Totale) casting style. Its progressive action allows the rod to perform beautifully with #3, #4 or #5 fly lines, making it exceptionally versatile. With a DT #3 line it excels at delicate dry fly presentations, while a WF #5 gives the power needed to turn over larger flies and small streamers in tight, overgrown environments.
Sustainable Design & Premium Components
Elevation Brook & TLT incorporates the same environmentally conscious design philosophy found throughout the Elevation family. The blanks feature a natural unsanded graphite finish and are manufactured using a bio-based epoxy resin. Lightweight powder-coated guides eliminate traditional chrome plating, while the Clear Anodized aluminium reel seat, REPREVE™ recycled polyester rod bag and recyclable polypropylene rod tube all contribute to reducing environmental impact without compromising performance or durability.
Guideline has also given the series a subtle, low-profile appearance with understated cosmetics and grey guide wraps that blend naturally with the blank. This refined "stealth" finish perfectly suits clear mountain streams and small rivers where minimising visual disturbance can be an advantage.
FlyFishing.bg Recommendation
If your fishing is focused on narrow mountain streams and heavily overgrown creeks, the 7'2" #3 is the ideal choice for maximum manoeuvrability and delicate presentations. For anglers looking for greater versatility across a wider range of small rivers, we recommend the 8'0" #4, which offers additional reach, improved line control and enough power for larger trout. If you enjoy technical casting and want one rod capable of fishing different line weights, the 7'6" #3/4/5 TLT is the standout model in the range, delivering exceptional adaptability and precision in even the most challenging fishing situations.
