Nishawa Witch Beetle is a dry fly designed to imitate a beetle – an important food source for trout and other surface-feeding fish. Its characteristic beetle profile and compact silhouette make it well suited to fishing close to the bank, where terrestrial insects frequently fall onto the water from surrounding vegetation.
The pattern is particularly effective during the warmer months, when terrestrial insect activity is high. It is well suited to fishing along grassy and overgrown banks, as well as in areas where fish regularly feed on the surface.
Best for: Trout, Grayling, Chub
Ideal conditions: Warm months, areas close to vegetation and overgrown banks, surface feeding situations.
